On October 24, the I. M. Gubkin Russian State Oil-and-Gas University hosted the First "Anti-Counterfeit" International Youth Forum. The aim of the Forum was to consolidate young people under the aegis of the "Anti-Counterfeit-M" Youth Movement in counteracting the economic threats faced by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). According to organizers, with the support of the "Anti-Counterfeit" International Association, within a separate youth forum, young people could receive more targeted information about the methods used in the struggle for the legal market. .
Over 300 youth activists from the EAEU countries took part in the forum, including the following students of the Department of International Relations of the Belarusian State University (BSU), trained there in the speciality "Customs Business": Pavel Smirnov, Ekaterina Lizura and a postgraduate, Victoria Zaitseva. At the forum, they made a presentation "What youth can do against counterfeiting".
The Belarusian participants were selected on the outcomes of the "BelBrand" Association's International Summer School "Youth Against Illegal Trade", which in September 2019, was held at the BSU in partnership with its Division of Customs Business of the Department of International Relations. The 7th International "Anti-Counterfeit-2019" Forum will take place on November 12-13 in Yerevan, the Republic of Armenia. Its organizers are the Government of Armenia supported by the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the "Anti-Counterfeit" International Association. For many years, the forum remains the central discussion platform, where officials from ministries and agencies, heads of major companies and organizations, leading international experts, scientists and the general public are discussing the problems of protecting markets from illegal trafficking in industrial goods, including counterfeit and falsified ones, and ensuring protection of intellectual property rights. Like in previous years, members of the "BelBrand" Association plan to take an active part in the constructive experts' dialogue and drafting joint solutions aimed at forming the civilized market for goods and services in the territory of the EAEU.
